Q: what what is this
A: It is a website with all of the references in popular media that I could find to the novel Watership Down by Richard Adams
Q: what is watership down?
A: It is an adventure novel, by Richard Adams, published in 1972. It is a required reading in some parts of the UK, but the 1978 animated film popularized it in other parts of the world because children saw it, and it is kind of horrifying. It is about rabbits fleeing their warren after their friend sensed danger. It was a story Adams made up on the spot to tell his kids on car rides. It was miraculously printed by a one-man publisher, Rex Collings, after being rejected everywhere. Collings picked out the title :)
Q: what is a warren?
A: it is the word the rabbits use to describe their rabbit families/societies
